Jim Chapman Keynote Speaker at First Annual 50+ University Day

As Chairman of the Board of the Greater Atlanta HBA 50+ Housing Council, Jim Chapman has the honor of giving the opening keynote address at the first annual 50+ University Day, which will be held on October 12th from 8am to 5pm at the Cobb Galleria.

The 50+ University Day is a jam-packed conference featuring educational sessions taught by leading active adult experts. The event is open to all who would like to attend and will feature classes about relevant housing industry-related topics such as “Kitchen Design – What Women Want!” and “Driving Social Media to the 50+ Consumer”.

Jim Chapman Named Chairman of Atlanta 50+ Housing Council

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced the 2011 Atlanta 50+ Housing Council Board of Directors this week.  Jim Chapman was named Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Council and Kelly Dempsey, VP of Sales & Marketing for Jim Chapman Communities, will be on the Board for Sponsorships.

Jim Chapman Named Secretary of the Atlanta 50+ Housing Council’s Board of Directors

Jim Chapman A congratulations is in order for Jim Chapman as he has been named the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the  50+ Housing Council, part of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, for 2009. Jim is no stranger to this committee as has served on the Board of Directors for two years and currently serves as Sponsorship Committee Chair. His history with the council as well as his expertise in active adult home building make him an ideal candidate for this position. No doubt, he will contribute to many successes for the council next year. January is when Chapman will step up to take over the responsibilities as Secretary on the Executive Committee. Election for this position creates the opportunity for Chapman to serve as Treasurer in 2010, Vice Chair in 2011 and Chairman of the Board in 2012.
