Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with an array of activities near active adult homes built by Jim Chapman Communities.

The fireworks show will start at 9:30 p.m., and there is no admission or parking fee. Also, follow the Steam Engine Parade beginning at 10 a.m. to check out steam engines, tractors and historic cars.

In East Cobb, active adults living at Brookhaven at East Cobb in Kennesaw can visit the Marietta Freedom Parade, including 110 entries and 2,000 participants. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta Parkway. The fireworks celebration will begin at 9:30 p.m. Come enjoy the food concessions and arts and crafts.
