Firework Celebrations Light Up the Sky Near Active Adult Homes
Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with an array of activities near active adult homes built by Jim Chapman Communities.
In Gwinnett County, active adults living at Brookhaven at Sugarloaf in Duluth can celebrate at the 10th Annual Fabulous Fourth of July Celebration at the Mall of Georgia on Wednesday, July 4. Bands like the Vintage Boogie Band, Norwood and The Woody’s will be playing until the 9:15 p.m. fireworks show. After the beautiful fireworks display, they will be showing the second Sherlock Holmes movie.
At the Cumming fairgrounds, residents of Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge can begin celebrating the Fourth of July on July 3 at 6 p.m. with various food vendors, inflatables, a live band and a fantastic fireworks display. The fireworks show will start at 9:30 p.m., and there is no admission or parking fee. Also, follow the Steam Engine Parade beginning at 10 a.m. to check out steam engines, tractors and historic cars.
In East Cobb, active adults living at Brookhaven at East Cobb in Kennesaw can visit the Marietta Freedom Parade, including 110 entries and 2,000 participants. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta Parkway. The fireworks celebration will begin at 9:30 p.m. Come enjoy the food concessions and arts and crafts.
