Brookhaven of East Cobb Perfect Fit for Active Couple

Roger and Charlotte Dreher were self-described “Fulton County brats”. That is until they moved to Brookhaven of East Cobb in August 2009. With two grown kids, the couple was looking to downsize without compromising the quality of their home.

“There are some major benefits of buying here, especially on taxes,” said Dreher. “My taxes are one-third of what I paid for in Fulton County. It’s hard to not like that.”

It’s not just the extra money in their pockets however that has the Dreher’s saying that moving to Brookhaven of East Cobb was the best thing they have ever done.

“After the first weekend of living here, we knew the names of all of our neighbors,” said Charlotte. “Since we have moved in we have never looked back. We are very active in the community and attend numerous parties, dinners and events. There is truly something in this community for everyone.”

The couple was drawn to the community initially because of its outwards appearance. Upon taking a closer look, the couple found a close-knit community that offers residents quality homes that feature elegant details such as brick exteriors with stacked stone accents, custom wood trim, 12 to 16 foot vaulted ceilings, great rooms with gas fireplaces featuring decorative wood mantels and master suite baths with large his/her vanities with full-length mirrors and ceramic tile showers. Couple Raves About Brookhaven of East Cobb

After residing in Fulton County for most of their adult lives, Roger and Charlotte Dreher did something they didn’t ever think they could do—move to Cobb County. The result? Pure joy. The couple who recently celebrated their one year anniversary in Jim Chapman Communities’ Brookhaven of East Cobb community said the move has been the best thing they have ever done in their life.

On any given night you can find them meeting with friends in the clubhouse, hanging out by the pool or going to dinner with friends in the community.

“After the first weekend of living here, we knew the names of all of our neighbors,” said Charlotte. “Since we have moved in we have never looked back. We are very active in the community and attend numerous parties, dinners and events. There is truly something in this community for everyone.”

Located at the intersection of Chastain and Bells Ferry Roads in Kennesaw, the community is conveniently located near some of the areas best shopping, dining and recreation facilities including Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield.

While the Dreher’s love their surroundings it’s the quality homes that have them saying they are blessed to have moved to Brookhaven of East Cobb.
