Jim Chapman Communities Wins Multiple National Building Awards
Jim Chapman Communities, Atlanta’s leading active adult home builder, was honored with two Silver Awards at The National Association of Home Builder’s Best of 50+ Housing Awards on April 28. The awards banquet, held at the 50+ Housing Symposium in the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott, is the industry’s most prestigious national awards program honoring excellence in the building, design and marketing of housing for baby boomers and beyond. The Best of 50+ Housing Awards are viewed by the industry as a showcase of innovation, emerging trends, and quality housing for the mature demographic.
Jim Chapman Communities was honored as the Community of the Year for Brookhaven of East Cobb (under 500 units) and for the Best Detached Home at an Active Adult Community (over 2,000 square feet) for the Ansley floorplan at Brookhaven at Johns Creek. As an aside, Brookhaven of East Cobb’s clubhouse won the Gold Award from the NAHB in 2008 for Best Clubhouse Design (under 500 units). It also won the 2008 Gold Obie from the GAHBA for Best Amenity (under 500 units).
