Jim Chapman Communities Acquires Two West Cobb Communities

Jim Chapman Communities, one of Atlanta’s leading active adult developers, is pleased to announce its newest endeavors into the West Cobb new home market with The Haven at Lost Mountain an active adult development and Concord Mill, the company’s first non-age-restricted single family development. The Haven at Lost Mountain, off of Dallas Highway, will offer homes from the $190,000′s specifically designed for today’s active adult. Concord Mill, perfect for young professionals, growing families and retirees, will offer single family detached homes from $179,900.

Using his experience as a builder of million dollar custom homes, Jim Chapman, president of Jim Chapman Communities, began building elegant yet affordable active adult homes in 2005. Since then, Jim Chapman Communities has focused on building gated, maintenance free active adult communities. Jim Chapman Communities has developed five communities to date across the metro Atlanta area, including: Gwinnett, Douglas, Cobb, Forsyth and North Fulton counties.

Welcoming adults ages 55 and older, the 20 step-free ranch condominium homes at The Haven at Lost Mountain are priced to sell, starting at $190,000. These spacious, private three bedroom duplex condos range in size from 1,810 to 3,600 square feet. At their option, home buyers may select a screened porch to take advantage of Atlanta’s wonderful climate or a finished basement which nearly doubles the homes square footage.

From the active adult to the young professional, Concord Mill is a great choice for the buyer who is interested in maintenance free living, with the luxury of a detached home. This 22-home development is close to great shopping and dining, and competitively priced starting at $179,900. The spacious, private homes at Concord Mill range from 1,700 to 2,100 square feet. Home buyers will be able to choose from multiple floor plans and exterior finishes to customize their home.

Homes in both communities will offer hardi-board exteriors with stacked stone accents, custom wood trim, 12-foot trey ceilings, great rooms with gas fireplaces featuring decorative wood mantels and master suite baths with large his/her vanities with full-length mirrors and ceramic tile showers and flooring. These homes will also provide ample space to entertain, and include such features as kitchens with breakfast bars, Whirlpool appliances, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, hardwood flooring, two-car garages, large inviting front entries and side patios for grilling.

“West Cobb has become one of the most popular areas in metro Atlanta,” said Jim Chapman, president of Jim Chapman Communities. “The city of Powder Springs truly has fantastic amenities, such as wonderful shopping, great restaurants, and access to world-class health care and historic destinations.” “We constantly strive to build communities where our homeowners can relax and spend time with their friends and families while still remaining close to their churches, social activities and neighborhood shopping,” said Chapman, Jr.

Jim Chapman Communities Wins Five OBIE Awards

jcc-obies-2008.jpgJim Chapman Communities is extremely proud to have received five OBIE awards at this year’s ceremony earlier this month. The OBIE awards program is hosted by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and this year’s event was the 28th annual awards program. Obviously these awards are a long-standing tradition in the Atlanta home building industry, and they are the highest honor given in the local housing industry. OBIE award winners gain industry recognition and attract promotional opportunities. It really is a tremendous honor to be the recipient of even one award, so for Jim Chapman Communities to bring home five is an incredible honor.

The active adult builder won four gold awards for: Fifty-Plus Community of the Year for Brookhaven at Sugarloaf, Attached Community of the Year for Brookhaven at Sugarloaf, Best Amenity Package (500 units and above) for their Brookhaven of East Cobb community and Best Building Design, Attached Model, $275,000 to $374,999 for their Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge community. These recognitions are the highest that can be bestowed upon new home building industry members.

The Sales and Marketing Council of the HBA presents its annual OBIE Awards every November. The OBIE Awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to now feature more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories in which to enter.
